The techniques that I use to improve ranking for a website through on page and off page optimization are below.

On Page Optimization
  • Site Analysis: The first step in an on-page optimization process is to get all relevant information of the website like what is the purpose and goals to make the website and find out the assessment of a site’s performance (in respect of its position and traffic) on various search engines.
  • Keyword Research: The next step of the on-page optimization process is doing research on prospective keywords that will enhance the website’s traffic and weight in the search engines. The best way to opt keyword is to choose that keyword which are very popular, effective, relavant to your content and comprise high search volume. The keywords that are being listed are further employed into the title, metatags, headlings, alt tags and every possible or necessary place of the website. 
  • Web page Naming Conventions: All the web pages of the website that we are optimizing for should have proper name so that search engines can use it as a method of determining what your web page is about. When naming your files it’s recommended that you separate your keywords with a dash. If you take a look at the file name that I gave this page you’ll find that I named it with the use of dashes, file-naming-conventions.htm. 
  • Designing and navigation Structure: There are many factors related to a website’s design that influence the success of the website in terms of traffic and search engine popularity. Examples of factors that can negatively influence a site’s rankings are: the use of frames, the use of flash, poor navigation, bad link structure etc. Due to ignorance, these mistakes often prevent a website from turning traffic towards it.

Social networking websites are considered as social media which is very effective and robust for viral marketing. Viral marketing has been proved as very powerful resource. These days social networking sites are a part of brand promotion via internet and maximam people come on social networking sites for fun, chatting, massassing and get together with their friends.
